Sourdough 101 is an introductory workshop that prepares you to make sourdough-based baked goods such as  pizza, pancakes, fritters, tamales, dinner rolls, English muffins, scones, cookies, and more.   


This will be a 3-day workshop with 2-days of in-person classes and 1 day of online Q&A

Sourdough requires time to ferment, so splitting the workshop lets you experience the full process.  Online Q&A is an opportunity for you to ask questions as you make the starter at home. 

The entire workshop is designed with you in mind to succeed and master the gluten-free sourdough process! 

Friday October 10th from 6:30-8:30pm (in-person) &  

Wednesday 15th 6:30-7pm (online Q&A) 

Learn how to prepare gluten-free sourdough starter to create dough for pizza crust.  You will also learn to create dairy-free nut mozzarella in this comprehensive workshop.

This session will feature both demonstration and hand-on components, allowing participants to engage directly with the recipes.  

Soup and sourdough bread will be served upon arrival, and each attendee will  receive a sourdough starter to take home.   

The workshop will cover key topics such as the benefits of sourdough, reasons for  

gluten-free baking, suitable flours, and principles of basic fermentation. Recipes will be provided for you to take home. 

Saturday October 11th from 4-8:30pm 

Pizza dough is prepared the night before. Participants will finish the crust, assemble  their own pizza with a selection of toppings, cheeses and sauces.  


Snacks and desserts will be served. Recipes will be provided for you to take home.
